Eyelid infections are very common, and tend to be chronic and recurrent. Children are especially susceptible to eyelid infections, and these conditions require patient and persistent treatment.
It isn’t unusual to be involved in months of therapy with eyelid infections. Because chronic infections that are untreated can result in scarring of the eyelid tissues that are disfiguring and mechanically irritating, it is important not to ignore eyelid infections.
We will examine the infected area and determine the appropriate course of action to bring relief and healing as quickly as possible.
