In July of 1979, Dr. Hanson opened a new Optometry practice in Hesperia, California. It prospered and grew, and for 27 years was a mainstay of vision care in the community.
In June of 2005, Dr. Hanson sold his practice in California and moved to Texas. Expecting to retire, Dr. Hanson had no plans to be in practice again. Living in their motor home with Fiona, the 100 pound German Shepherd while building a new home in Aledo, the Hansons thought relaxing and doing nothing would be fun. It didn’t take long to find out that doing nothing wasn’t fun, and so began Benbrook Family Vision Care.
Dr. Hanson has had extensive experience with Primary Care Optometry, including contact lens fittings of all sorts, children’s vision care, infant’s vision care, foreign body removal, treatment of eye infections, treatment of Glaucoma, co-management of LASIK and cataract surgery, remediation of learning disorders, and, of course, routine eye examinations.
